P5 Outreach
The P5 Project is committed to working with traditional amaPondo leaders and communities to build trust and show our respect for local people, their beliefs, and knowledge systems.
Building long-lasting and meangingful relationships
Our community-wide engagement in Mpondoland has ranged from community presentations in isiXhosa, Afrikaans, and English to research strategy planning with traditional leadership. We have also helped to maintain local services, like purchasing 250 chairs for a local community education center.
Science Spaza Worksheet No 61
In 2019, the P5 Project teamed up with Jive Media South Africa to develop new bilingual content for the Science Spaza series.
Science Spaza (http://www.sciencespaza.org/) addresses a lack of resources and activity-based learning for young people in South Africa. Currently, this initiative has over 140 science clubs across South Africa.
Our first contribution to the Science Spaza series is about radiocarbon dating. This FREE 4-page worksheet is filled with interesting information, activities, and careers information.
